Make friends with a wide variety of tame animals and experience all their young at close quarters throughout the season.
Why not make a day of it and have a homemade lunch or bring a picnic to enjoy in our picnic area.
Café & Tea Room
We have converted an old low pan tiled cattle shed into a shop and small tearoom. This had been one of the biggest jobs that we have done in the creation of Church Farm. Due to the hard work of a lot of people we have made a light, airy and “characterful” room which lends itself perfectly to the job in hand.
The air conditioned tea room serves delicious home made cakes, biscuits, scones etc, which you can enjoy with a real fresh coffee or a cup of tea. There are also snacks and drinks available which you can eat there or outside in the under cover seating area or the picnic area. From past experience the clementine cake and the courgette cake always seem to disappear quickly, but what about those epic brownies.
We also have a full kitchen which serves hot and cold food during the day. A daily menu of snacks and lunches caters for all tastes with a special teddy bear’s picnic for the children.
Gift Shop
The shop is filled with a wide variety of cards, gifts, toys, books, stationery and much much more. We are adding to our stock all the time, and are always on the search for something a bit different. So keep popping in to have a look, you do not have to pay the entrance charge if you just want to come shopping or have a cup of coffee.
Nature Walks
Join our Gamekeeper on a fascinating guided nature walk around part of the Stow Estate. He will amaze you with his foresight and knowledge of the countryside. Learn about the native species of birds, animals, insects and much much more.
These walks run twice a week, on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons at 2pm. If you would like a guided nature walk at any other time you may pre-book by telephoning the office on 01366 382162. Everyone of all ages are welcome.
OPEN: March 8th to November 2nd, 10 until 5
We look forward to welcoming you to Church Farm Rare Breeds Centre soon.
